2005 Nissan Quest Q35de Engine Will Turn Over Removed Starter Benched Tested

I have a 2005 Nissan Quest Q35de engine will not turn over.Removed starter and benched tested is good. When I turn the key to start the vehicle,engine just make a thump sound and does not rotate.Tried to manually turn crank and only have little play clockwise and counter clockwise about 3/4.Check oil and level is full.Could this also involve water pump to be an issue due to it's also chain driven.

Are you able to manually turn the crankshaft? Based on what you said, it only moves 3/4 makes me thing the engine is locked up.
