I replace my battery on my nissan murano and when I installed the new all my cluster needles went up but my rpm needle stayed all the way up and it's backwards when I rev the pin stops the rpm needle. I tried revving my engine and hopefully it would go go back but nothing I also tried holding my trip button and turning my ignition to on but nothing.

JUST FOR GIGGLES. UNDO THE NEG CABLE ON THE BATTERY FOR A FEW MINUTES. THEN RE-CONNECT IT

DAT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU?

NORMALLY ON A NEWER VEHICLE, A "MEMORY SAVER" IS PLUGGED INTO THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER OR INTO THE "OBD" PLUG UNDER THE DASH ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THIS SAVES THE COMPUTER'S MEMORY, AND EVEN THE RADIOS MEMORY DURING THE BATTERY SWAP

SEE-UNS THAT PROBABLY DID NOT HAPPEN, MAYBE IT WILL RESET WITH THE INFO IN MY 1ST PARAGRAPH

SHOULD THE PROBLEM PERSIST. SADLY. YOU MAY HAVE TO VISIT A STEALERSHIP TO GET THINGS RECODED AND SUCH. IF THIS DON'T WORK

THIS IS THE PRICE EVERYONE PAYS AS NEW TECHNOLOGY (GEARED AGAINST THE CONSUMER) COMES OUT. GOSH I'M GLAD MY NEW JEEP IS A '77 AND MY OLD ONE IS A '46. SO SIMPLE!

KEEP US POSTED

Remove the meter and manually turn the needle backwards to its resting place. Current spike while replacing the battery with the ignition switch turned on can cause the needle to overshoot.
