Hi,

We need to determine if it is a fuel or ignition-related issue.

First, see if the engine starts for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it is a fuel-related issue. If there is no change, then suspect ignition. At this point, check to see if there is spark to the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

On each coil, there will be red wire, black wire, and one other that will be a different color at each coil.

Turn the key to the run position. Check the red wires for power. They should have it once the key is on.

If they do have power, confirm the black wire has continuity to ground. Note that all coils have a common ground.

I attached a pic below as a reference. Also, here is a link you may find helpful:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

If you are getting power to the coil and it has ground, then it's likely we aren't getting a signal from the crankshaft position sensor. If you have a live data scanner, can you check to see if there is an RPM signal when cranking the engine?

I attached a pic just to confirm this is what was replaced.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

If we have power to the coils and you have an RPM signal, the next thing to do is start checking the system.

I've attached the diagnostics below. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing them

Take care,

Joe
