I've replaced the master and slave clutch cylinders and i'm still having trouble with the clutch. It has no free travel unless we bleed the clutch, and we have bled it at least 20 times but still losing the free travel after driving a few miles. Any ideas on how else to bleed the clutch other than through the slave? Or what else could cause this?

When you say it has no free travel, this means that you have a little bit of "space" from the pedal resting place until it actually starts to disengage the clutch. Normally you should have a little less than the first 1/3 of the total clutch travel of free play. Then the next 1/3 to a little more of total clutch engagement, then the remaining pedal travel until it hits the floor or pedal stop of free play. This way you are getting full disengagement and have a little bit of clutch free play as you are letting the clutch out so that you can slip the clutch properly without any jerking.

If you are losing this free play after bleeding the clutch and the clutch is not disengaging or engaging properly then you have a leak in the slave cylinder that is allowing air back into the system.

If it were me, I would inspect the entire system again and make sure you have no external leaks. If you do not, then I suspect the slave cylinder is faulty which is not uncommon.

Please see the info below on this and how to bleed the system from the manual in case you need this as well.

Thanks
