i have a vacuum leak that is whistling

2005 altima 4cyl. Trans shifts very hard and makes a chirp or whistle like a vac. leak. once had the code pulled and the tech said there was a shift sensor that showed up but a couldn't get it in aftermarket parts. i have lost the name of the sensor
