2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Took Out O2 Sensor Tried Putting New Oxygen Wont Back

took out o2 sensor and i tried putting the new oxygen sensor but it wont go back in i think its the threads how do i fix it or what do i do?

+check threads are same on both sensors and then if so try re tapping hole. you can make a cleanout tap by using a bolt of same thread with agressive angled saw cuts/slots lengthwise.

Just add to this one they also sell a o2 sensor rethreading tool.
