my 2005 eclipse gs has the p0420 code , i was wondering if i replace the headers do i still need the cat? because my cat is part of the manifold, do i need a cat ? what would be the affects without one?

i really dont wanna dish out 400$ that i honestly don't have, can i just get new headers and a universal cat or maybe just new headers?

As long as the cat meets your states emissions standards then you can put it on your car.
