Seat belt alarm activitates when no one is seated in the passenger seat.

e500 mercedes 2005- Recently purchased-- immaculate condition-one owner--passenger side seat belt light and alarm goes off even though no one is sitting there..once i fasten seat belt it goes off.......started this after a rather large person sat in the seat. is there something i can reprogram by chance.

The only thing it can be is a bad sensor.
