2005 Mercedes Benz CLK500 Seat belt won't retract

Drivers side seat belt will not retract. No warning light. Extender comes out but seat belt will not retract. The belt is completely out and slack. Just happened extender started moving out and back then belt went slack.

I feel that the seat belt retract mechanism has failed and this is not a serviced item, you may be able to blow it out with compressed air, just in case there is something sticking it up and this may dislodge it, but I feel that the set belt will have to be replaced, you should go and get a second opinion with a mechanic looking at it first hand just to be sure.
