2005 Mazda 3 Turn Signal Switch Sticks Does Off Using Right Fix This

The turn signal switch sticks and does not turn off when using it to turn right. How do i fix this?

Was the steering wheel removed prior to this occurring? The self returning mechanism is either faulty or is out of alignment.
If equipped with SRS, you have to be careful not to damage the cble reel and accidently deploying the airbag.
