I have a 2005 lincoln ls 3.9 l v8. It is throwing 2 codes, po306 and po353. 306 means that cylinder 6 is misfiring and p0353 means coil c is malfunctioning. Is coil c directly over cylinder 6? Could it just b the spark plug in 6 causing it to throw both codes?

It's doubtful a spark plug could cause both codes. Swap coil caps 5 & 6, 1 & 6, something like that, see if it changes anything. If it's the coil, the problem will follow it.

A faulty coil can cause both faults. A bad plug wire or connector can, also.

Hi:

I noticed you added to an older post. Is your vehicle the same year, make, and model as the original post? I need to know to confirm I'm looking at the correct information.

Let me know.

Joe

Yes, it doing the same thing both codes, I did find the vacuum lines tampered with and one bolt missing out of the passenger side cover. Somebody wants the car to remain where it is apparently. I will get back to you.

Thanks, but I have a problem, no guide to see which cylinder is which. It's a 3.9 Lincoln 2005 and it throws the same codes about a dead cylinder 6. When I opened the hood, it looked like some nice person ripped every hose and wires were disconnected. Previously I sent a picture of even the evap hose was off. But without a cylinder guide or diagram it's the blind guessing.

Hi,

error code for the car is P0353 which is cylinder 3 ignition coil not cylinder 6. That doesn't sound good. Can you get a few pictures of what is disconnected so I know what to look for?

Also, I attached the cylinder locations below. At the front of the vehicle, cylinder 6 is on your right and the second cylinder back. See pic below.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe
