The dealer states we should change both, as it is cheaper to go ahead and change the drive belt at the same time. The quote is $519.00. Can you tell if both belts are bad, as in stretched or ragged? Should both be changed? Is the price reasonable for the Owensboro, KY area? Thank you, ReBob

You can press in the middle of the longest run between drive pulleys on the accessory drive belt. It shouldn't deflect more than half an inch. You can also twist the belt. It shouldn't go more than halfway.
