Brake Lights

I have a Kia Spectra. My brake lights do not work when I press the brake pedal. I checked the fuses and bulbs and all seem to be working fine. What would cause the brake lights not to work?

Check the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal. See if there is power to it and out when you hit the brakes. All you need is a test light.
