I had a rebuilt engine done two months ago. Now their telling me the crankshaft sensor from my old removed engine is the problem. Would not a new crankshaft sensor come with the rebuilt engine or would they leave an old sensor from the old engine in? Please help, I'm always getting ripped off.

Yes, they can. Just don't let them sell you a bunch of sensor. They have no idea what they are talking about. They just know how to sell parts.
