Is there anyway besides rea placing the gas tank to fix the refeuling problem on a jeep liberty?

A friend of mine has a liberty and everytime she trys to put a gas in the tank it over flows. Is there a way to fix this problem without relaxing the tank.

why replace the tank??? it sounds like the vent valve is closed when it is supposed to be open. get a shop to check it for you and confirm.
