What causes my jeep to rough ideal?

My jeep has a rough ideal. It does not shut off but ideal rough. I had the control motor solenoid replaced and that didn't fix the problem. Had new spark plug replaced a year ago. The oil is changed every 3000 miles. Mechanic doesn't know what else to do??
