check battery alarm - shuts down engine

First morning start up, after about 30 secs the check battery alarm comes back on and shuts down engine. Usually after 3rd restart I can pull out and start driving with the alarm coming on then off occasionally but without engine shut down. pre-start battery voltage 12.5 (cleaned terminals/cable connections, and main ground), replaced alternator, still have same issue

Possibly could be coming from the computer controlled of the alternator's field generation circuit-have it checked out-
