My SUV runs great but will only go 30mph then it sputters and stays at that speed,what cuold be the problem?

sounds like a clogged cat converter. have the backpressure checked.

is the check engine light on? if so, have the codes read at autozone or somewhere like that. post the codes here for further assistance.
