G35 ignition switch

2005 Infiniti G35. Pulled into garage tonight and ignition switch will not turn fully counterclockwise to the "off" position. stays in Accessory position.

Sounds like a problem with the ignition switch cylinder lock -

That's what I thought. Tried rocking the steering wheel from side to side but no luck. Switch sounds like it's hitting some kind of barrier that prevents it from turning rest of the way.

Any chance I can get this fixed without "dealer involvement"?
