2005 Infiniti G35 High oil pressure

Timing chain slapping. Was able to change tensioner without removing cover, didn't help anything. Checked oil pressure as the tensioner is oil pressure activated thought it would be low but it is way to high. 70psi at idle. Removed timing chain cover, chain is tight and guides look good. Im at atotal loss now.

Hey Jbwelsch,

I would try removing the serpentine belt from the crankshaft pulley and starting the engine to see if the noise is still there if you have not done so already, if so and no difference, it could be the camshaft actuator gone bad, any check engine lights?

Check the animation, if the seals go bad it will make noise,
