the other day my windshield wipper bladed stopped working all the sudden, you can hear that it is not the motor bacause it still tries to work and can hear it running. The blades just are not lifting up any ideas of what may be wrong

motor may have disengaged from wiper mechanism at joint or maybe stripped it's gears internally?

is that something easy to fix, and is it expensive.

cant answer that exactly cause too many variables including what you consider expensive and where you get it fixed or fix yourself.

check the wiper transmition.grab the blades and move them back and forth watching the wiper trans.
