When driving at highway speeds the car makes a loud squealing noise that appears to be coming from the rear. When I apply the brakes, the noise goes away. Coming off the highway and lower speeds the noise goes away.

I would first check the brake to make sure the friction linings are not too thin. It seems to me it is brake related because the noise goes away when the brake pedal is applied. Make sure there is no oil or grease on the pads. Let me know what you find, TY
