My engine grinds/whirls after startup for about 1 minute when the engine is cold. Happens when I start in morning and at work at the end of the day. What could be the problems since the noise can't be replicated once I drive it to a repair center?

bad bearing of some sort. leave it at a shop for a cold start to determine the failure.
