The car will start tapping until the engine warms up, it will slowly quiet itself, I will let the car just warms up before driving. Can this valve be adjusted?

What is the temps in your area? What weight oil is being used? Is the oil clean and full? How long does it take for the sound to stop?

I live in Ohio temps been getting really cold like -double digits, I run synthetic oil with Lucas oil treatment, oil checks full, will tap for roughly 15 mins plus or minus. In warm weather weather I would say 5 minutes. Car got 104,000 miles.

As long as you are using 5w30, that should be fine. The Lucas, however, does thicken the oil a bit, but in warm weather, you shouldn't hear it.

Since it goes away, it sounds like you have a couple lifters that collapse and then take time to pump up. If the sound never went away, then I would think adjustment would be a possible fix.
