2005 accent problems with brake lights, fuses

Hi I have a 2005 accent and the brake lights arent working causing the gear to stay stuck in park. I checked the fuses n I changed em, the brake lights worked once n they conked out again.

Sounds like the new fuse blew again. There's a reason for that. Start by looking at the wiring in the trunk and if you have a trailer harness. Look for wires that are chewed up, bare, or touching where they rubbed together.
