The letter "D" blinks on dash in transmission selection

Dash light "D" begins blinking after 20 minutes of driving. Have had transmission fluid replaced and transmission works smoothly. Why does the light come on and blink until you turn the engine off?

Hi srobins,

When the D light starts blinking while driving, it indicats an error in the transmision control system has been detected and you need to retrieve the trouble code to understand what is wrong.

Most likely it's going to be a bad 3rd or 4th pressure switch.
