I see where Honda Odessey's are prone to have bad transmissions. I have not had any problems with it other than paint problems and some codes that say I have some misfires. I run Mobile 1 and change the oil every 5000 to 8000 mmiles. I have never touched the transmission, not even to add fluid. It has not needed any.

a lot of transmissions fail from lack of maintenance. it has oil that needs to be changed as well. if you change all your fluids as your owners manual states, you should have no issues on your trip.
