2005 Honda CRV Powered folding mirrors

When I switch on my ignition the drivers side folding mirror turns forward in clicks when fully forward it I then pull it back into position the mirror acts normally being able to fold it in the the door control and putting it into the driving position using the door controls this also happens if I just turn on the ignition and don't start the car it I then place it in the correct position the try to start the car it goes forward again .any ideas ??

Sounds as if it may have a faulty limit motion sensor in the mirror, I have come across this with other makes, but not 100% if Honda use the same system, but worth looking into, you may be up for a new mirror assembly.
