2005 Honda Accord P0420

2005 HONDA ACCORD

I have a check engine light and got P0420. I know it needs a catalytic converter but I'm not entirely sure sure which one. It just says bank 1. Can anyone help me please?

Bank one is the rear bank.

So that would be the firewall side upper cat correct? It might be part of the manifold. I haven't checked.

Yes, firewall side but if it has more than one cat in the area, it will be the one with an 0/2 sensor on either end of it. Some cars have a secondary cat further down that is not monitored.
