Holden rodeo Front seat problem

i have a 2005 Holden Rodeo and have lent on the drivers seat too hard when reclining it, now I can't get it to re-engage, How can i fix it??
...... please help!!

Sounds as if you have damaged the recliner mechanism the seat will have to be removed and stripped for further inspection, you should be able to get a new piece genuine only i feel, i think that you have to drill out rivets and bolt in a new recliner lock.
