thanks mcsgarage ! tried lights again this morning and they're back. any ideas ? was dark when i noticed them out - maybe auto on senser ?

there is a relay for the low beam an dhigh beam as well as a fuse for each. it's in the underhood electrical center it may not be making good contact. it could also be the sensor but those don't go out that much.
