Check engine light is still on! Diagnosis read 2 cylinder?

replaced plugs and wires, its still missing ! should the next step be coil pack?

no check the fuel pressure first that will cause the misfire as well.30-55 psi key on engine off or26-45 engine idling.

Is this something, that can be done at home? Is this part a switch or a sensor?

no you need a gauge to hook up to fuel rail. if you have the gauge then you cando it. an auto parts store might rent one.......
