Its a V6. The trunnion on the end of the connecting rod which connects the master cylinder to the clutch pedal is made out of frigin plastic and it just split in two and fell off! Is this a part I can replace or do I have replace the whole clutch unit? Also a couple days before this happened it became very hard to shift especially into first gear. It would take several times before it would go but I'd have to force it. And it also wouldn't let me down shift at all, I don't usually but I tried it to see if it would go into gear easier that way. Tried bleeding the breaks since the clutch and brakesuse the same reservoir. Seemed a little better at first but the next day was doing the same thing again. Was going to bleed the clutch line but then the plastic trunnion broke so kinda stuck. Do you think this piece has anything to do with the car not wanting to shift? Thought about JB welding it.

Chances are the part was starting to go bad before it finally broke. That is most likely why you were having trouble shifting. As far as the part, contact your local Ford dealer to see if they can order that part. I have a feeling that it isn't going to be available.
