Do I need to replace the water pump on my 2005 mustang convertible?

Recently developed a squealing sound under the hood on cold start up. The heater goes from hot to cold when the car is not moving and then heats back up again when the car is moving.

Check the thermostat and coolant level if okay test the water pump--
