RUNNING OUT OF OIL IS NOT A GOOD THING, IT'S THE LIFE OF YOUR ENGINE!
YOU MAY HAVE CAUSED SOME INTERNAL DAMAGE
YOU WILL NOT KNOW THE EXTENT UNTIL THINGS EITHER GET WORSE OR YOU HAVE SOMEONE TEAR INTO IT AND GET A 1ST HAND LOOK
IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHECK IT AT MINIMUM, "WEEKLY" AS PROBABLY PRESCRIBED IN YOUR OWNERS MANUAL. AND ALSO IF YOU SUSPECT A PROBLEM OR YOUR GAUGE OR LIGHT SAYS YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN WITHIN SECONDS, YOUR OIL PLUG FALLS OUT (INSTALLED WRONG) OR ROAD DEBRIS KNOCKS A HOLE IN YOUR PAN. IF OIL IS THE ISSUE, IMMEDIATELY SHUT IT DOWN!
WHAT THIS MEANS IS "YOU" OR YOUR BUDDY/ ECT PULLS THE STICK ONCE A WEEK!---NOT "DAVE" DOWN AT THE "SUPER DOOPER LUBE" TWO MONTHS AGO! THEN AFTER HE CHANGES IT. IN FACT "OLE DAVE" AIN'T PERFECT, HE MAY HAVE HAD A BAD DAY OR HIS CELL PHONE KEPT HIM DISTRACTED. YOU MIGHT OUGHTA PULL IT ONCE HE SAYS HE'S THRU. IT IS YOUR CAR, NOT HIS!
YEAH! YEAH, SAYS MOST ANYBODY YOU TELL THIS TO, I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS TO ALL OF THE VEHICLES IN MY "MOTOR POOL" ON EVERY SATURDAY FOR THE LAST FOREVER. I HAVE DETECTED PROBLEMS BY DOING THIS, AND WORKED 'EM OUT. BUT I CAN SAY THIS, I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN LOWER THAN THE "SAFE MARK" ON THE DIPSTICKS
EVEN IF YOU "HAVE OIL"---YOUR OIL PUMP MAY NOT BE WORKING! SO IF THE OIL LIGHT COMES ON OR THE OIL GAUGE GOES TO NUTHIN'--IT'S TIME FOR AN IMMEDIATE SHUTDOWN TILL YOU GET IT FIGGERED OUT!
NOW THAT YOU HAVE INSTALLED OIL- I HOPE
WELL?
HAS IT QUIETED DOWN ANY?
I'VE SEEN THIS KINDA SITUATION PLAY OUT WELL FOR YEARS AND I'VE SEEN IT ONLY LAST A DAY OR TWO
IF IT CONTINUES TO HOLLER FOR HELP AFTER THE OIL IS PUT IN, I'D TAKE IT TO A LOCAL SHOP, AS I DOUBT IT WILL GET BETTER, IT MIGHT LEAVE YOU IN A DANGEROUS SPOT, SHOULD IT SHELL ON OUT
