2005 ford focus, 75,000 miles, No repairs done. In the cold after sitting 4hrs or more, car turns over fine tries to start but doesn't. Re-run start procedure still no start. Turn over pump, pedal car starts. Doesn't idle until past thermostat opening and manually (with foot on accelerator pedal @1400rpm's) Questions now, change filter(fuel) or is fuel pump getting week? Car runs fine after warmup & driving. TIA, Dave.

Check fuel pump pressure. Also, check the idle air control valve and the temp sensor.

Glad you got it fixed. Sorry it took so long to reply. We changed the web page and got behind. You can't believe how many questions we get.

Take care,

Joe
