my truck runs very smooth in the forward gears however when I back up it begins spitting and sputtering as if it's not getting enough gas but it never does it in the forward drive gears .I do know a little about auto repair but this has me stumped .

scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge first auto parts rent it.
