A re manufactured engine was put in this vehicle at 160,761 miles. Before the engine was put in, the previous owner changed the spark plugs. The man managed to break the clips that lock the coil wires to the coils on two of the coils, number one and number four. Zip ties were being used to hold them on, but they are not a viable way to hold the wires, and the vehicle keeps misfiring. I thought about going to a junkyard and cutting of two coil wires with good clips and splicing them in. However, I was unsure if that would hurt the connection as far as ohms and what not. Is there a solution to my problem that you know of?

Thanks,
Ben T.

It will not hurt the connection. You can buy the part from the dealer i am sure of as well. Just when you put them in. To be sure to use heat shrink around the splice to keep it out of the elements.

Thanks! I also have a different question about this vehicle. I have a leak where the metal coolant hose that comes out of the back of the water pump and snaps on to a rubber hose above bank 1. At that connection, I believe there is supposed to be some type of washer. Do you know what part of is?
