Hello I have a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria P71.I have had the car for almost one year. Since last week, the headlights have been randomly truning off while i'm on the road. Then after a few minutes they come back on. Whenever this happens the dash lights and parking lights stay on.I turned the light switch on/off every time the headlights randomly shut off, and they have always stayed off for several minutes no matter how many times I turned the switch knob.I replaced the headlight switch module, but the problem remains. Any tips or advice on what might be causing this, or how I might be able to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This happens when the lighting control module goes out which is common on these cars, here is the location of the part so you can change it out to fix it.

Lighting Control Module (LCM) is located behind the LH instrument panel lower insulator rearward of the accelerator pedal.

Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
