When driving in hot weather for awhile the steering column makes a rubbing noise. Had a mechanic check it and he said that there were bubbles in the steering pump and that the oil was pink instead of red.
What do I need to do to fix this. Thank you for your help.

there are upper and lower jacket bearings in the column for support. they made need some lubrication ot quiet them down. this repair is best left to a shop familiar with steering column repairs.
