he must have unplugged something

My dad can get our 2005 dodge ram 1500 started fine, but later on when I try it only stays started for a few seconds. what could he of done to it?

He might have unplugged the Idle Air Control Valve, IACV, which is on the intake manifold near the throttle body. Check the connector there. The Throttle Posittion Sensor, TPS, could be dis-connected. It is on the front of the throttle body at the entrance.
Finally there may be a problem with fuel pressure. You need to have it checked.
