Our dodge stratus (2005) has had the check engin light come on and off several times over the last couple of weeks. It is now getting hard to start and almost stalled going up a hill.

Have the trouble codes checked. Some of the national brand autostores used to check codes for free. How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. All fluids ok? Tranny?
