trouble code for EGR valve

still getting a code for a bad EGR valve on a 2005 dodge ram 1500 after changing the valve but check engine light now goes out

How do I clear the code so it will stay cleared? The code is still there when the emmission system is checked by a garage

Suspect EGR didnot need replaced codes indicate a fault in system not a specific part so post code and will advise

Don't supose you have a scan tool so testing going to be long and detailed. To start see diagram connector to EGR Position Sensor at pin 27 check for voltage key on post from there go to next step
