Hi, can't seem to figure out what's going on with my vehicle. It starts great, and runs fine for the most part. However when I have too much of an electrical load in use for a period of time (ie. headlights on, cruise control on, fans on) I start to have problems. I am unable to use cruise control and my truck shifts down from 5th to 4th after having too much electrical in use for a period of time. Could it be something to do with a resistor?

Are you sure it's electrical that triggers this or could it just be coincidence? This sounds an awful lot like a restricted Catalytic converter.
