Won't turn over charged it all night, jumped it off once but as soon as we took the jump cables off it went dead , now nothing

Take the battery into your local parts store and have it checked first. Let me know what you find and we will go from there ok

Sounds like you have 2 issues. Get a good battery in there first as advised and then have the charging system tested as the car should have stayed running when the other car was disconnected.
