I have a 2005 Dodge Neon and I recently bought it and it wouldn't start so I replaced the timing belt and ignition coil and several other stuff but after all this was replaced I tried to start the car and it wouldn't start without me pushing the gas and getting the rpm up to about 2. And when I let off the gas it just barely runs. Then when I back up or go forward and hit the brake hard then the car will stall. I have a error code p0172 and it says "System To Rich Bank 1"

What can I do? I don't know what to do.

Did you have the battery disconnected while replacing the timing belt? Does the engine run properly when you hold the accelerator pedal down a little? Have you tried driving the car?

We disconnected the battery while replacing the timing belt. When we push the gas pedal down a little the rpm goes up like normal and the car gets loud but shakes. And we tried going up our alley but when we pushed the brake in to stop the car stalled. And it has trouble starting. It just barely starts but before we had to start then push pedal to keep it started.

Dandy. The rough running has me concerned, but everything else is related to disconnecting the battery. The Engine Computer lost its memory and has to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it has to be in control of idle speed. Until then, you'll likely have to hold the accelerator pedal down 1/4" for the engine to start, you won't get the nice idle flare-up to 1500 rpm at start-up, and it will tend to stall at stop signs.

To meet the conditions for the relearn to take place, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the pedals.
