I've recently been traveling a lot for long distances and have been experiencing issues with overheating. It started with a check engine light and what looked like an electrical issue warning. Upon turning it off an back on, the electrical light went off. Later, I noticed overheating while stationary and the fans running loudly, almost like the fan turbo on a diesel truck. I noticed fluid spray and air leaking from what looks like a bleeder valve at the top where the radiator hose connects to a resivoir and the engine. I refilled the coolant and sealed off a leak in that resivoir, which worked for a few days and now it starts to overheat at times while speeding up.

Part of the strategy of cooling systems is the water in the coolant can't be allowed to boil, but it commonly gets over 212 degrees. To raise the boiling point it has to be under pressure, (3 degrees higher for every pound of pressure). That's why we use a pressure cap on the radiator or reservoir. Wash the area then figure out what's spraying coolant and fix it. You may need to bleed air from the system once it's repaired.
