Unless you pop off your egr valve and push the pintle down and find it not returning to the closed position or its stuck in the open position when removing it. you will need a scan tool that can read live engine data so you can read the egr feed back voltage to properly diagnose what is the problem.Otherwise you will just be guessing what is the problem the trouble tree for the code will ask you what the feed back voltage is as one of the first steps without the scan tool you will not know.
