When driving the other day, I heard like a metal clanging noise. When I got closer to home the belt snapped and it looked like transmission fluid leaked. When we replaced the belt and cranked the car, water was leaking from the engine. What does that mean?

check the water pump. if you do not find what broke the belt, it will happen again.
