Can I switch my caravan map light with a caravan maplight package with temp, compass direction indicator?

I have a high mileage 02 grand caravan sport that has the map light dome package that indicates temp,compass,mileage etc. As you are aware this light front to back is probably about 10 inches. I have recently bought an 05 caravan that just has the 5 inch map light only. Can I exchange these two lights? Looks like the 05 headliner has a hump that is configured for either or but is the wiring the same. The 02 has almost 200K miles so I really don't care if the headliner shows a clean spot after the exchange.

no would not expect complete wiring harness to be there for full functionality.
